Try this Iced Tea Sangria recipe if you’re looking for a homemade low calorie sweet tea drink. It's also a lovely mocktail to serve at parties and other celebrations.
What is sangria?
Traditional Spanish sangria is made with red wine, fruit, and fruit juice.
There are also white wine sangrias and versions made with brandy, triple sec, spices, and soda water.
Why you should try iced tea sangria
I love fruity sangrias and adore iced tea. So I combined the tea and fruit to come up with an iced tea sangria recipe that’s low in calories.
This is a mocktail – a festive summer sweet iced tea drink with no alcohol.
However, if you want a boozy version, mix in a chilled sweet red wine such as a Moscato or a sweet white wine like a Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio.
The best way to make this iced tea sangria recipe

It’s so easy to make ice tea sangria. Just place the frozen fruit and sweetener in a large pitcher.
Pour the iced tea over the fruit and sweetener. Then stir. Easy!
You’ll find yourself using your sangria set often. Either for parties or every day to have a cool drink in the fridge to enjoy on a hot summer day.

What kind of tea?
I used Lipton Gallon Sized Black Iced Tea Bags in my Takeya tea maker. Much easier than unwrapping 10-12 black tea bags.
You can make this iced tea sangria recipe with your favorite flavors of tea. Green tea and herbal teas also work well.

What kind of frozen fruit?
For this ice tea fruit recipe, use any kind of frozen fruit you like such as:
- mixed berries
- mixed fruit
Using pre-sliced frozen fruit makes this recipe easy and time saving. Also, since the fruit is frozen, it helps the iced tea sangria stay cool longer.
You can also take fresh fruit, fresh berries, or fresh peaches (peeled and sliced). Then freeze the fruit for this recipe.
Keep a supply of frozen fruit in the freezer. Then you can make this healthy, low calorie ice tea drink any time you want!
How to make sweet tea sangria
To keep this sweet tea sangria sugar-free I used a no-calorie sweetener.
You can add more or less sweetener to this iced tea sangria recipe depending on how sweet you like your sweet tea.
Another option is to leave the iced tea unsweetened. Then let everyone add sweetener packets to their own glass according to their personal taste.
To serve this ice tea fruit recipe, scoop out the fruit into tall glasses using a long spoon or ladle.
Then pour the iced tea over fruit and serve with a couple of colorful drinking straws.
Straws then can be used as “chopsticks” to pick out fruit when you’re done with your tea!
Another serving idea is to make fruit kabobs on bamboo skewers. Place those in the glasses. Then pour the iced tea into the glasses.
