I was tired of spending too much time wiping the grounds off the counter and sweeping them off the floor. After trying to clean up coffee grounds that had landed between the stove and the cupboard, I swore I’d look into one of those "all-in-one" coffee pots.
When the Braun finally broke, I did some research and bought the Melitta at a local outlet mall. It’s a wonderful thing to have your coffee already brewed and waiting for you in the morning. And since I’m the one who cleans and refills it, there are no more grounds on the floor.
Melitta MEMB1B Mill & Brew 10-Cup Coffeemaker features:
- Grinds coffee beans to choice and brews coffee at preset time
- Clock/timer can be programmed to begin process up to 24 hours in advance
- Seven grind settings, from coarse to fine
- Stainless-steel filter basket eliminates need for disposable filters
- Available colors – white and black.
Once you figure it all out (you must read the instructions) it’s easy to set the clock and timer. I’ve had no problems cleaning it either. And because I’m really good at breaking carafes, when I saw a spare one at the thrift store (brand new and still in the original box) I bought it.
After reading customer reviews on Amazon, some folks have had problems with the filter or the lid. However, most were happy with Melitta’s customer service, which can be reached at 800-947-3745 for replacement parts.

We have a Miletta Mill and Brew Coffee Maker. It has a broken catch on the lid closure over the filter. It cannot be closed now so the mechanism will not depress and brew the coffee. How can I get a replacement lid sent to 110 Linville Springs Road, Kernersville, NC 27284?
I repaired my Miletta Mill and Brew Coffee Maker by fabricating a plastic replacement part for the lid catch by using a Dremel Tool. It has worked perfectly ever since, though I am careful to depress the catch each time I close the lid so as not to put any lateral pressure on the glued section.
