Dining with the Founding Father’s at the City Tavern in Philadelphia Duck sausage and Ales of the Revolution

Ales of the Revolution

My husband Paul was in Philadelphia last weekend and took the opportunity to visit historical sites such as Independence Hall. While he was there, the stopped by the City Tavern Restaurant for a few beers and some duck sausage. He told me that both George Washington and Thomas Jefferson made excellent beers and thought Benjamin Franklin’s beer was delicious and unique as it was the first spruce ale he’s ever tried.

Next time you’re in Philadelphia and want to dine like the Founding Fathers did, stop by the City Tavern Restaurant.
