Beating the morning rush with belVita Breakfast Biscuits

This post brought to you by Kraft Foods. All opinions are 100% mine.

Weekday mornings are always crazy around my house. Our day starts at 6 am. I quickly brush my teeth, wash my face, throw on some workout clothes, and wake up my daughter, Lucie. By 6:30 am, I’ve packed the kids’ lunches and gotten the coffee started. Lucie gobbles down breakfast and vitamins, packs her backpack, and says goodbye to her dad. By 6:45., we’re out to the door to wait for the bus.

I usually try to make something quick and nutritious in the mornings, like smoothies. But one product I’d like to have on hand are belVita Breakfast Biscuits for those crazy mornings when my kids have to eat on the way to the bus or in the car – like the other morning when Lucie decided to go back to bed and didn’t get up until 6:40 am. (Luckily the bus was late that day!)

Each pack of belVita Breakfast Biscuits includes four lightly sweet, crunchy “breakfast cookies” that contain 18 to 20 grams of whole grains per serving. belVita Breakfast Biscuits also contain no high-fructose corn syrup, no partially hydrogenated oils, and no artificial flavors or sweeteners. They’re a good source of fiber and energy releasing B vitamins, too.

They come in three flavors – Golden Oat, Blueberry and Apple Cinnamon. They’re also introducing two new flavors – Cinnamon Brown Sugar and Chocolate. Even though belVita is a breakfast biscuit, you find them in the cookie and cracker aisle at your grocery store.

These would also make good snacks on the way to sports practice, too, along with some fruit, low fat cheese sticks, and/or maybe a hard boiled egg. Since they come portioned in convenient, individual packs, they’re terrific on-the-go meal substitutes for those crazy mornings when you need something quick!

If they’ve been recalled, they wouldn’t have been available at WalMart. If you’re still concerned, call the company. There should be contact information on the box or on their website.
