It’s been a hectic time for me and my family since leaving Boulder, Colorado on May 25. The drive out to Georgia was a fun family adventure filled with tornado warnings (Kansas), barbecue (KC, St. Louis and Nashville), rockabilly music (Nashville) and even a little sipping whisky (a side trip to the Jack Daniels distillery.)
Yet, it was dealing with the movers and the unpacking that has been exhausting. Without fail, the movers would leave something in the basement that would have to be carried up two flights of stairs to be stored in the attic – or vice versa. Or there would be toys left in the basement that had to go upstairs to the kids’ rooms. Up the stairs, down the stairs – it’s been a great workout but my calves are killing me and I’m pooped!
I’m trying not to complain too much, because we’ve moved into wonderful house with a back yard that looks out on four acres of forest. I feel like I’m living in the middle of Jurassic Park and am waiting for T. Rex to come crashing through the woods. Luckily, there are no dinosaurs in Georgia, just deer, birds and a lot of weird, noisy bugs. So I feel perfectly safe enjoying a Special Coffee Moment with International Delight outdoors on the deck.
Making iced coffee is easy. I fill a tall glass with ice, and add the coffee that’s left over from breakfast. Then I add some Sugar Free French Vanilla International Delight creamer. It’s just as good as iced coffee from a coffee house, much more affordable, and a great way to take some time for myself. I also love it because it’s a delicious but low calorie treat. Take some time for yourself and try it sometime!
