It’s never too hot to enjoy red wine from the California Wine Club {10% off coupon code}

hot bulldogMy husband, Paul, and I had just returned from Hawaii (more on that soon!), where we enjoyed some amazing chilled white and rosé wines. So when the package from the California Wine Club showed up with two reds – a Le Vigne Winery 2007 Kiara Private Reserve Zinfandel and a Le Vigne Winery 2007 Kiara Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon – I was a little hesitant. It was so darn hot here in our temporary apartment in Boulder, Colorado that the last thing I wanted to drink was a heavy red wine.

Well, after one sip, I didn’t care. This month’s California Wine Club choices from Le Vigne Winery were out of this world. Both reds would be terrific with burgers, pasta with a meat sauce, or even barbecue. As usual, California Wine Club was right on the mark with an excellent couple of choices for the season.

Both were excellent “sipping wines” to enjoy before dinner, too.
