The January 2009 Chew on That’s Monthly Mouthful for January 2009 asked:
“What is your Foodie New Year’s Resolution? What types of food do you hope to try, cook, or stay away from in the next year?”
You can see my answer to the Monthly Mouthful here.
What is your New Year’s resolution when it comes to cooking? Do you want to use your crockpot more? Maybe try your hand on smoking a turkey? Or maybe you want to grow it in your own garden?
Or maybe it’s food you want to avoid – eat less fat, sugar, processed foods, fried foods, etc.

Since I already enjoy a relatively healthy diet, my usual resolution (repeated year-after-year) is smaller portions and more exercise. But this year I also decided to challenge myself as a food blogger and have embarked on A Culinary Tour Around the World. Event details, itinerary and first post (Norway) are on my blog. Hope you’ll join me in one of the destinations.
You can see Joan’s blog at http://foodalogue.com/. Love that picture of the Norwegian Beet Salad!
Wow, I’m a year late on this one, so for 2010 I am going to do VERY small portions every couple of hours. Hopefully, I can rock my WW routine!
