Nature Made SAM-e complete 400mg The folks at Nature Made were kind enough to send me a sample box of Nature Made SAM-e (400 mg) to try. I had taken SAM-e before for mood issues. I was in a bit of a funk last year and thought that it could help. I didn’t see much difference probably because my mood was caused by outside issues and I wasn’t taking enough of it to do much good. What I found worked for me at that time was a change of venue (a vacation) and getting back to eating healthfully and exercising.

This time I saw results

I started taking SAM-e Complete Double Strength, which contains 400 mg. What I noticed this time was that I did have an increase of energy and my knees didn’t hurt. Since I had a decrease in pain, I no longer had to sleep with a pillow between my knees either. You see, Nature Made claims that SAM-e promotes joint health, too along with promoting a healthy mood.

The only problem I had with SAM-e is that you must take it 30 minutes before eating. I try to plan it so that I wake up, get my exercise clothes on, go downstairs and take it, then get on the exercise bike for 30 minutes. That usually works out well.

So what is SAM-e?

SAM-e is a naturally occurring compound that is distributed throughout the human body and it contributes to maintaining mood levels. SAM-e levels tend to decline as people get older and certain groups of people, including those with low mood, tend to have lower levels of SAM-e in their bodies.

You can read more about it at:

What are the benefits of SAM-e?

Nature Made SAM-e helps to promote a healthy mood by ensuring a balance of overall healthy brain cell functions. If taken regularly, SAM-e can begin to help in as little as seven to 14 days.

Should you try it? Well, it can’t hurt though people with bipolar (manic) depression should not take this or any other product containing SAM-e except under a doctor’s supervision. If you are pregnant or nursing, or taking prescription antidepressant medications, consult your doctor before using this product.

For a limited time, Nature Made is offering a $3-off coupon when you try SAM-e – click here.

Clinton, at my grocery store Nature Made has some incredible deals – either 2 for 1 or 40-50% off. It’s just a matter of stocking up when the sales are on or getting your SAM-e at Costco.

My dog was taking a Same-e supplement because she had appendicitis or something similar to that. So this supplement must do a multitude of things. Nice article.
