Getting a workout buddy

Carmen at the ELFF Diet has teamed Tigerlilly and me as workout buddies. We’re supposed to email each other and check in to see if we’re working out and making our goals. Since I’m exercise challenged, I emailed TL a set of goals for the week, including food, wellness, knowledge and blogging – all of which will keep me losing weight and keeping fit even with a knee injury.

My goals for the week:

  1. The_ultrasimple_dietFOOD: Stay on track with the Extreme Fat Smash Diet as prescribed on the Celebrity Fit Club website. That means advance planning, taking food with me, etc.
  2. WELLNESS: See the orthopedic surgeon on Monday. Note: my exercise plans may change depending on what he tells me.
  3. EXERCISE: Still do at least 10 miles per day on the stationary bike (Monday through Sunday).
  4. EXERCISE: Do arm weights while on the stationary bike at least every other day.
  5. WELLNESS: Go to my massage therapist and dentist on Thursday.
  6. KNOWLEDGE: Look into Dr. Mark Hyman’s book The UltraSimple Diet: Kick-Start Your Metabolism and Safely Lose Up to 10 Pounds in 7 Days. I’ve been having some lactose and gas issues (I know, TMI) and am looking for a way to detox my system. Since I may be purchasing it at Amazon, I’ll probably go ahead and finally get When Food Is Food & Love Is Love: A Step-by-Step Spiritual Program to Break Free from Emotional Eating by Geneen Roth.
  7. BLOGGING: Keep blogging Extreme Fat Smash Diet recipes at my blog. I have a backlog of recipes to share with my readers.
  8. ACCOUNTABILITY: Check in with Tigerlilly and Carmen on Sunday.

This is a great idea and one I’ll have to give a shot sometime in the future. The only problem is, I’m so beat when I get back from work–and so tired before I go–that exercise is usually the last thing on my mind…

Being accountable to someone really helps me. I think this will really workout for you.
