First day going well

First thing I did was do the exercycle for 50 minutes at my target heart rate. It was a little tough on my back, but I did it. What wasn’t so nice was the kids interrupting, fussing, etc. when I was trying to work out. It’ll be easier on the days that Nathan goes to summer school…plus they’ll get used to it.

It was the first 50 minutes of exercise besides yoga and walking that I’ve done in YEARS. So a big pat on my back to me. However, exercise does make me "high," which is annoying because I wander around the house doing 12 things at once and can’t concentrate very well on the tasks at hand. I get this way after yoga and massage, too.

The food thing has been great. The little meals throughout the day – and keeping busy – keep off the hunger pangs. However, I found out that the roasted peanuts in the cupboard had gone rancid. They’re 4 years old – what did I expect. Luckily, I bought another container of them.

Talked with Merrie. She’ll be starting next week. She’s got too much on her plate with work, school, kids, and family to plan. But she signed up and read the Extreme Fat Smash book – a terrific start.

We have a busy weekend and a trip to the Springs. I need to figure out how to preplan and precook so I can take meals/snacks with me and/or know what to order in a restaurant.

The kids are fighting…how many days until school starts again? Signing off.
