When I was
researching bento box lunches for my children’s book and cooking blog, A Readable Feast, I found a terrific site – Lunchboxes.com.
They carry every kind of lunchbox you can imagine, including I Love Lucy, western, the Sex Pistols, KISS, and the Ramones (Oh boy, I really, really want a Ramones lunchbox! Maybe Santa will bring me one.)
They also carry a Healthy Lunch for Kids DVD geared toward busy, health-conscious parents. It’s packed with valuable information about food presentation, lunch box ideas and healthy meal options. It also comes with valuable tips on incorporating fruits and "hiding" vegetables in your child’s favorite meals.
Lunchboxes.com’s The Laptop Lunch User’s Guide comes alone or with the Bento Lunch Box. If you’re looking for ways to energize your lunch-making routine, The Laptop Lunch User’s Guide gives you the tools you need to pack healthy, waste-free lunches happily and conveniently.
I’m very intrigued about creating Americanized bento box lunches for Monkey Boy to take to school. If you’d like to find out more about bento box lunches and recipes, go to my Art of Bento Box post at A Readable Feast. It links to books, recipes, and inspirational sites.

Some of those remind me of my lunchbox… I had a Hot Wheels lunch box, with a glass lined thermos. And this was all, of course, about 35 years ago! It’s cool that they’re bringing back some of that style (without the glass thermos!). And that bento thing is just too much… How do you stuff a PB&J in there with some ho-hos???
How much do I want that Ramones one??
