Win Mostly True: A Memoir of Family, Food and Baseball

MostlyrueThis week and next I’m giving away a copy of Mostly True: A Memoir of Family, Food and Baseball by Molly O’Neill. Molly is the food columnist for The New York Times Magazine and the host of the PBS series Great Food. A former chef, she has written three cookbooks, including the New York Cookbook.

In Mostly True Molly recounts stories of growing up in a family of five boys and always being "on deck" to help her mother domestically. She chronicles how cooking gave her life focus and meaning while baseball (and cooking) kept her brothers out of trouble.

It’s a hilarious look at growing up middle class in Ohio during the ’60s and ’70s. Mostly True gets the This Mama Cooks seal of approval for fun beach, pool or backyard summer reading.

Here are the rules:

  1. Post about the contest on your blog. You have from today until July 7 to do so.
  2. Then come back here and post the weblink in the comments section below along with your email and blog addresses.
  3. I will pick a winner’s names out of a hat and will contact them via email for their names and mailing addresses.
  4. The winner will be announced on this blog on Monday, July 10.
  5. Please do not enter this contest if you are unwilling to email me your name and mailing address. Of course, I will not release your private info to the public.
  6. This contest is open to bloggers in the continental U.S. only. Sorry to my Canadian readers, but the postage to send even one book up there is a budget buster.

If you have any questions, please email me.

(I’m also holding a contest for the book Lost and Found over at my other blog, A Mama’s Rant. Feel free to enter both contests!)
