Just before Big Bad Dad went on his annual fishing trip to Mexico, we got the steal of the century at Target. For $250 (including tax) we bought a Nexgrill Stainless Steel Gas Grill that normally sells for $549.99. First, it was on sale. Then because only a damaged model was left (and they had to sell it before they could sell anyone the floor model), the manager gave us an an additional 30% off the sale price. He told us that if we weren’t able to put it together because of the damage (which didn’t look that bad to us in the store), he’d give us a full refund. Then we got an additional 10% off for opening up a Target VISA account.
When we got it home, we realized on the back panel was bent but all of the damage was on the inside. After bending it back into shape, Big Bad Dad was able to put it together with no problems and only a small amount of help from me.
We’d been using a small, inexpensive grill that we received over 11 years ago as a wedding gift. It was beat up but functional. However, after Big Bad Dad took a grilling class at a local restaurant, he was lusting after a full fledged, bad ass grill, and the Nexgrill Stainless Steel Gas Grill fits the bill. With five linear tube burners (12,000 BTUs each) and 896 sq. in. of overall cooking surface, there’s plenty of room to have a hot and cool side when grilling. The side burner provides an additional 12,000 BTUs. It also comes with a motorized, heavy-duty rotisserie and weatherproof PVC cover. There’s also a stainless steel shelf with 4 utensil hooks, and a seamless welded double-layer lid with heat indicator.
After cooking on such a wimpy grill, this monster takes some getting used to because it puts out an incredible amount of heat. We haven’t had a chance to use the rotisserie yet, but the steaks and fish we’ve grilled up have been excellent and picture perfect with those nice grill marks you see on the cooking shows.
It’s the best bang for our buck cooking-wise we’ve had in years.

My husband and I buy like you do. We have also been looking for a deal like that. We always check out the end of the season sales to get a good buy on whatever we are looking for. We have a really nice grill already so we are looking but when the right discounted grill comes along this year or the next, we are in no hurry. But we want the the 5 burner one like you found at a likewise deal!
We were laughing at each other the other day, all or most everything we buy from groceries to shampoos to appliances all have one thing in common, they all have 50% off stickers or better, LOL! We even buy Christmas presents that way!
Congrates on a fantastic buy!
