Over at the Pastry Life blog are the most amazing photographs from a cupcake decorating competition at the World Pastry Forum. Before you get disheartened, remember these folks pastry chefs not home cooks.

These should provide ample inspiration for anyone who likes to decorate cakes or cupcakes. But as they say on tv, "Don’t try these at home folks. We’re trained professionals!" Me, I’m just trying to figure out how they made the fish. Modeled in marzipan and then hand painted? They look too good to eat.

Those cupcakes were so amazing! The cakes were incredible too. I posted some pics of the cakes a friend of mine who was able to attend sent me .
