Fan mail

Well knock me over with a spatula, I got an email from Kyle Wagner, the food critic for the Denver Post. She writes:

cracking up at your blog, love it! wound up here because our server is down at the post and i needed to find some of my own articles for a christmas piece. anyway, just fyi, i paid for the american orient express trip myself. the day the denver post shells out the bucks for a trip like this would be the one involving ice and hell. it was indeed the trip of a lifetime, and one my significant other (the foamer) and i had been saving for over the course of a couple of years! but i highly recommend it… take care and keep cookin’ –kyle

Of course I wrote her a big, mushy email back telling her how much I love the food writing in the Denver Post these days. No b.s. It’s been top-notch and at the level of the food writing in big market papers like the New York Times. I really look forward to Wednesdays because of it.
